Rules in Swimming Sports
In swimming, there are a number of rules that are practiced in championships. Following are a number of provisions:
Players are asked to go up to the starting block (free type, back, chest) once the referee gives the signal by blowing a long whistle. If the competition is in the back type, participants enter the pool to prepare facing the wall.
To jump or advance, participants must wait for a signal. As long as there is no instruction to start, the participant is still in the starting position. The referee’s direction is in the form of a «ready» direction.

State the swimmer’s position in each track which has been decided during the draw or by committee regulations.
Disrupting other participants by cutting off the track or not allowing it will be written as a violation.
If a violation occurs that causes the participant to lose the opportunity to win, the match leader can make a decision to allow the participant to return in the next session.
After arriving at the end of the pool, participants return to the starting point by doing it from the wall. It’s not enough to come back from the bottom of the pool.
At special times, swimmers may need to stand in the pool. As long as the participant does not walk into the pool, this will not result in the participant being disqualified.
Back type, breast style, butterfly type, and free type as a line in relay swimming competitions.
In relay swimming, the swimmer who will continue the relay is not allowed to jump or not have his feet touch the starting place before the first swimmer touches the wall of the pool. If this is done, the team can be disqualified. If the swimmer repeats his place, it doesn’t matter.
Each swimming participant must end the race on the same track.

Standard Swimming Pool Sizes
Swimming pool sizes according to FINA standards are as follows:
Swimming pool length: 50 m
Swimming pool width: 25 m
Width of each swimming pool track: 2.5 m
Number of swimming pool passes: 8
Minimum depth of swimming pool: 1.35 m — 2 m
Swimming pool water temperature: 25-28o C
